Forget trust falls and team-building exercises that feel forced. This is a real challenge that gets your team working together to solve a problem with real-world implications.
What is it?
We kick off with a quick chat about disaster relief and the importance of having readily available, affordable, and effective shelter solutions. Then, we unleash your team’s inner engineers!
The Challenge:
Your mission is to design and build an emergency shelter using only recycled cardboard and PVC sheets. Think cardboard cathedrals, but make it survival-chic!
Why Cardboard?
Cardboard is surprisingly strong, super insulating, and readily available. It’s also a great material for fostering creativity!
The Rules:
The Storm Test:
Once the shelters are built, we put them to the test! The top three shelters face off in a “storm” simulation. Teams pelt each other’s shelters with foam balls to see which one can withstand the most damage. It’s a hilarious and chaotic way to determine the strongest design!
The Grand Finale: Build, Bond, and Brainstorm!
This activity is more than just building a shelter. It’s a chance for your team to work together, think creatively, and learn about real-world issues. It’s a fun and engaging way to build teamwork and problem-solving skills.
